We have been using saline implants at Voci·Center since 1992. Drs. Voci is very impressed with the results. The complication rate is very low and patient satisfaction rate is very high. They prefer the smooth implant as opposed to the textured because of a much lower leak rate and rippling effect.

Research with silicone continues to reveal little if any connection between silicone gel (or solid) and autoimmune disease. Solid silicone is still being used as the envelope of saline implants. Silicone gel is still being used in most other countries and in reconstruction and selected cosmetic augmentations.

Voci·Center recommends silicone gel breast implants be checked every 2 or 3 years. Gel implants greater than 10 years old should be checked every 1 or 2 years.
